How to Stay in the Flow

Saturday night, my friend Janna May cracked me wide open. She did an intuitive reading on me and I gave her permission to go really deep into some core wounding. Major resistance came up and I shut down and shut off at a certain point, then moved through it in my journaling Sunday morning and more with my friend Erika on Sunday evening.

By Monday afternoon, I was ready to have a conversation with my mom. She is seriously my hero, my role model. While all of what Janna exposed was related to her, by opening my heart and sharing, mom and I went a layer deeper in our relationship.

Our resistance blocks the flow. Our resistance comes from fear. The only way over it is through it.

Take a Break

Today, no video. I am going through something today and need movement, support, love.

Every Sunday that I am in town, I go to Soul of Yoga then Dance Church then Farmer’s Market. It’s our community’s tradition. There’s something powerful about “taking rest” at least once a week.

How to Create Space for the Things you Want

I’m exhausted! Today we cleaned for half the day in our new house and let me tell you, it feels so good! The hard work paid off, big time.

For the past month, I have been spending serious time cleaning, clearing and completing. While most people believe in New Year Resolutions and setting intentions, January is still winter, the time for self-reflection and hibernation. Which means there may still be stuff to clear out to make room for the new.

Watch today’s video about the cleaning out process:

How to Overcome Overwhelm

Last night, we had our Tribal Truth gathering and we poked fun at the fact that I am a doer. I’m a producer. We laughed about my intentionality in how I walk and even brush my teeth. I can be super focused in the midst of chaos. And yet, this “doing” is coming from a place of over-compensating for my feeling of unworthiness.

Just me simply being is enough. I don’t have to do anything.

Getting grounded in this last night, I was able to see a situation much clear this morning and answer the question: How do I overcome overwhelm with a project that is starting to feel like a burden?

I had a conversation with two women I’m partnering with about accountability and responsibility that left us all feeling pumped up and inspired.Watch the video to learn how to apply this to your own life:

Turning Competition into Collaboration

So many people are actually getting the power of collaboration … I’m seeing partnerships forming everywhere around me!

And yet, it is a scary thing and very difficult because most people are struggling to get their basic needs met and when you partner, you have to take care of both yourself and the other person.

Not only that, but the “Am I good enough?” question surfaces every time.

I personally have had this fear and scarcity come up in some recent collaborations. I know how it feels.

In today’s video, I talk about a conversation I had today about this and what I did to overcome it.
